CHARLESTON WV —On Tuesday, October 18, the Charleston Post Office located at 1002 Lee Street E., Charleston WV 25301 will offer a special cancellation offering featuring Braley Care Homes in an effort to help announce the upcoming Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk event. Customers may obtain the postmark in person at the temporary Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk Post Office Station from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Charleston Postal employees, along with Postmaster Steve Hoffman, will be on hand to provide the cancellations. Several vendors will be on hand to provide information on Alzheimer’s Awareness. Customers can also sign up to participate in the upcoming Charleston Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk to be held Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Those who cannot attend the event but who wish to obtain the postmark may submit a mail order request. All requests must include a stamped envelope or post-card bearing at least the minimum First-Class Mail® post-age, address the envelope or postcard to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness in envelopes for sturdi-ness, and tuck in the flap. Place the envelope or postcard in a larger envelope and address it to: PICTORIAL POST-MARKS, followed by C/O POSTMASTER, PO BOX 9998, Charleston, WV 25301-9998.
